Woodland Edge
Bushcraft knives are fully hand crafted from quality
high carbon 4mm
thick 01 tool steel.
The blades are hardened and tempered to 58 Rockwell
which gives the ideal balance of hardness to ensure
it keeps a sharp edge and toughness for durability.

The
Woodland Edge
'Bushcrafter
is a stylish workhorse more than capable of
dealing with all bushcraft requirements.
The Woodland Edge
'Finesse'
is
exactly the same styling but only 80% of the
size.
This makes it the perfect tool if you have
smaller hands or just choose to complete your
tasks with a little finesse.
Bushcrafter
Made from 4mm
thick 01 tool steel with an overall length of
230 mm and a blade length of 115 mm.
Finesse
Made from 3 mm
thick 01 tool steel with an overall length of
182 mm and a blade length of 90mm.
Every hand crafted knife has the
Woodland Edge
logo and its own individual serial number, making
each knife unique, along with a signed certificate
of authenticity.

The natural woods we use are
selected pieces that have been either kiln
or air dried. They are a completely natural
product and will react in varying amounts to
changes in humidity. In moist conditions
they may swell slightly and in very dry
conditions they will shrink slightly. The
effects are minimised by rubbing in a small
amount of oil to seal the handle on a
regular basis.
Stabilized
woods are fully impregnated with a resin
using a vacuum/pressure process. This
greatly adds to the strength of the wood and
fills the natural pores with resin leaving
no space for moisture to be reabsorbed.
Highly decorative woods that would be
unsuitable in their natural state due to
weak grain structure or natural figuring
make superb handles after stabilization..
These handles can also be maintained with an
oil finish but it is far less critical.

The
'Bushcrafter'
has a belt sheath
for attaching directly to your belt, it also has an
additional detachable loop that enables the knife to
be carried lower allowing easier access when wearing
a coat or rucksack.
The
'Finesse'
has a neck sheath complete with high quality cord,
it also has a detachable loop to enable it to be
used as a standard belt sheath.
The
full leather sheaths are hand made, dyed, stitched
and embossed with the Woodland Edge logo.
Either sheath is available in right and left handed
versions. |
